Last updated: July 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how ChapterBrite ("ChapterBrite", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our sponsorship management software and related websites (collectively, the "Service"). This page is maintained by ChapterBrite to answer common privacy questions about the Service. It is provided for general information and is not a substitute for legal advice.
1. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you provide. Account details (name, email, organization), sponsor and contact records you enter, notes, tasks, and files you upload.
- Information from your use of the Service. Log data, device and browser information, IP address, and usage events used to operate and secure the Service.
- Information from integrations. If you connect a third-party service (e.g., email or payments), we receive the data required to provide that integration.
2. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users and secure accounts.
- Send transactional messages (invitations, receipts, account notices).
- Respond to support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only:
- With your organization. Data you enter is available to authorized users of your chapter or association workspace.
- With service providers that host, secure, or support the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, transactional email, error monitoring), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- For legal reasons when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
- In a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
4. Data retention
We retain account and workspace data for as long as your organization maintains an active account, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion of your personal data as described below.
5. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and least- privilege server access. No system is perfectly secure; you are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
7. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the Service. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. International transfers
The Service is operated from and may store data in the United States and other jurisdictions. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers where permitted by applicable law.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
